Switched to Hugo from O-blog

This website has switched from using O-blog to Hugo.

O-blog is unfortunately no longer maintained. Hugo’s growing developer and user base is promising, and it is a good sign that the software is included in Debian.

To migrate the content, I’ve used the two scripts written and made available by Holger Schurig to export my O-blog org-mode file to individual Markdown posts. This approach works fine, except for tables. Cleaning those up took a bunch of Emacs macro’s, and several manual changes.

Hugo is really easy to install, and generating a website is equally simple. I’m now looking forward to testing the upcoming support for Org-mode that is being built-in to Hugo v0.19.
